Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Networking Engineer specializing in IP collaboration technologies, including voice, video, and conferencing solutions. This role involves designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex collaboration environments across multiple sites.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Designing, building, testing, implementing and maintaining IP collaboration technologies including voice, video, conferencing and other collaboration tools.
- Performing day-to-day operations, maintenance, monitoring, upgrades, support of collaboration systems.
- Working in the context of large projects, as a key member of the engineering Team and as the leader of the collaboration sub-Team, both for designing and installing and commissioning.
- Completing work assignments by applying up-to-date knowledge in subject area to meet deadlines, following procedures and policies, and applying data and resources to support projects or initiative.
- Acting as the primary customer technical contact.
- Responding to inquiries from clients, staff, and vendors providing technical assistance and support.
- Maintaining multi-site collaboration environments.
- Working on-site with customers providing technical support, set-up assistance, and technical coverage for unified communications and collaboration.
- Providing accurate feedback to the rest of the Team with regards to customer requirements and required changes.
- Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
- Achieving reliable, timely and high-quality design and deployment work, troubleshooting malfunctions of IP collaboration systems to resolve operational issues and restore services and be able to accurately diagnose root cause.
- Authoring of design (LLD, Migration Plan, SAT Plan) and configuration documents.
- Creating configuration templates.
- Working overseas for a limited time for the needs of international projects.
- Completing any other duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- ≥ 8 years of hands-on experience in IP collaboration technologies.
- Cisco CCNP Collaboration or (preferably) CCIE Collaboration.
- Advanced know-how on most of the following Cisco collaboration technologies: CUCM, Unity, Jabber & Expressway, Telepresence, ISR routers / media gateways.
- Solid understanding of voice and collaboration technologies and interworking including SIP Trunks, Service Provider IMS, Call routing, Session Border Controller, Dial plans, Encoding & Transcoding.
- Good understanding of Routing and Switching topologies, understanding of basic concepts like FHRP, routing protocols, QoS.
- Experience in large and complex projects.
- Team player, team leader and strong time management and organizational skills.
- Fluency in both Greek and English written and verbal.
