Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Networking Engineer with expertise in routing, switching, and network security to design, implement, and maintain multi-site network operations. This role involves leading network projects, conducting demos and Proof of Value exercises, and collaborating with internal teams and clients to deliver high-quality network solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Designing, building, testing, implementing and maintaining network security technologies.
• Conducting demos and Prove of Value exercises to customers.
• Assisting in the management of IS projects through both pre-production and implementation phases by collaborating with network services, infrastructure management, and external business groups to understand requirements and implement solutions accordingly.
• Completing work assignments by applying up-to-date knowledge in subject area to meet deadlines, following procedures and policies, and applying data and resources to support projects or initiatives.
• Acting as the primary customer technical contact.
• Responding to inquiries from clients, staff, and vendors to provide technical assistance and support.
• Maintaining multi-site network operations.
• Acting as a member of networking solution design and delivery Teams.
• Performing regular audits and provide reports.
• Providing accurate feedback to the rest of the Team with regards to customer requirements and required changes.
• Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
• Achieving reliable, timely and high-quality design and deployment work, troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services and be able to accurately diagnose root cause.
• Authoring of design and configuration documents.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• ≥ 5 years of hands-on experience as a senior networking security engineer.
• Valid industry recognized accreditation in CISCO networking security at least at a CCNP or equivalent level.
• Wide know-how of ICT field and networking in particular with areas of deep specialization.
• Ability to travel for short-term assignments.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Cisco security and networking technologies.
• Proven experience working in engineering capacity supporting network security and capabilities such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Proxies, DLP, Network Deception, micro-segmentation, Network Access Control (NAC), wired and wireless security, SIEM, Next Gen Breach Detection Systems, Cloud Access Security Brokers.
• Understanding of the web-related terminologies and software such as web applications, web related protocols, service-oriented architectures, and web services.
• Very good working knowledge of the following protocols and technologies: TCP/IP, Ethernet, IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, PIM, Quality of Service, all STP variants, HSRP / VRRP, MPLS (Layer 2 and Layer 3 Services, traffic engineering), WAN technologies and DWDM.
• Familiarity with using network Management tools.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and international, national and industry standards.
• Team player and strong time management and organizational skills.
• Fluency in both Greek and English.
