Senior IT Project Manager - Logicom Solutions ICT - Athens, Greece

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager for Logicom Solutions ICT offices, in Athens, to manage the delivery of IT-related projects and/ or work-streams. This job entails the Initiation and coordination of projects, the conduction of project reviews as prescribed by the company PMO standards, the management of project execution, and the successful closure of the Project.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Delivering/ managing (end to end) projects, from initiation to roll-out, interacting with all stakeholders.
• Driving the successful delivery of simultaneous projects and initiatives.
• Creating, managing and maintaining a project control book, including project plans, key milestones, critical success factors, and other KPI’s for all projects.
• Controlling and monitoring the project, including project finances, to ensure efficient delivery, adhering to the business case.
• Identifying and managing project risks, issues and dependencies.
• Executing appropriate project governance and reporting.
• Effectively engaging and managing subcontractors/ partners, focusing on strong delivery capability and cost efficiency opportunities for the project.
• Ensuring that projects are managed in accordance with agreed company PMO standards, methods and procedures.
• Building effective working relationships with all major project stakeholders as well as colleagues and with third parties to gain their commitment, support and resource to deliver project work.
• Mentoring other junior PMs.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field; a degree in Computer Science or Engineering will be considered an advantage.
• At least 10 years of project management experience in large scale IT and or IT/ business projects.

• A project management qualification will be considered an advantage (e.g. Prince2, PMP etc.)
• Track record of successfully managing a number of projects with an element of business change.

• Strong leadership and excellent team building skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, integrity, enthusiasm, determination and resilience.
• Must have a tenacious approach to problem solving, constantly striving for effective solutions.
• Must remain cool and be composed when under pressure.
• Sound technical knowledge and expertise in IT and/ or business project management.
• Proficient in the use of a Project scheduling tool for creating and managing the project plan.
• Must be able to demonstrate advanced stakeholder management skills across a range of different stakeholders from IT personnel to Management.
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
