Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Warehouse Lead to join our dynamic team. As a Data Warehouse Lead, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the Data Warehouse within an exciting and challenging environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, availability, and performance of our data warehouse environment, in servicing reporting requirements and in general in driving the data culture of the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Designing and developing our data warehouse, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data warehousing projects.
- Developing and implementing data integration strategies and pipelines, including ETL processes, data modelling, and data mapping.
- Overseeing the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Ensuring data governance and compliance standards are adhered to the data warehouse environment
- Monitoring and optimizing data warehouse performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
- Establishing and maintaining data quality standards and processes to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Developing and guiding the data warehouse team, including mentoring and training junior team members.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data warehouse capabilities to drive business insights and decision-making.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data warehousing and data management.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Warehouse Lead or Data Engineer
- Strong expertise in data warehousing concepts, methodologies, and best practices
- Proficiency in data integration techniques, including ETL processes, data modelling, and data mapping
- Solid understanding and experience in database management systems, SQL, and data manipulation languages
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and reporting frameworks
- Experience with both on-prem and cloud data platforms and tools such as Python, Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, SAS, and others
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data requirements and design efficient data solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Leadership capabilities, with experience in mentoring and guiding team members
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
