Job Description
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead the Credit and Collections function across the UAE and Gulf region. This role will be responsible for managing credit risk, optimizing collections, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies, and enhancing cash flow management. The Credit Control Manager will work closely with key stakeholders, including the Group credit control department, finance, sales and senior management, to establish and maintain strong credit policies and procedures.
This position is based in UAE and requires regional oversight across UAE and Gulf markets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining credit policies aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
- Evaluating customer creditworthiness using financial analysis, credit agency reports, and market intelligence.
- Suggesting and monitoring credit limits, ensuring alignment corporate risk appetite.
- Identifying high – risk accounts and taking proactive measures to mitigate bad debts.
- Ensuring compliance with regional financial regulations and corporate governance standards.
- Leading and optimizing collections strategies to ensure timely recovery of receivables across UAE and Gulf markets.
- Developing and implementing efficient credit control processes, reducing DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and improving cash flow.
- Supervising the resolution of payment disputes and overdue accounts, engaging with customers, Credit Insurance and legal Teams when necessary.
- Creating and monitoring aging reports, conducting risk assessments and escalating potential bad debt cases.
- Managing and mentoring a Team of credit controllers and collectors across the UAE and Gulf region.
- Providing guidance and training on best practices in credit assessment, risk mitigation and collections.
- Working closely with sales and finance Teams to align credit policies with business objectives.
- Preparing weekly and monthly credit risk reports for senior management, providing insights on collection performance, overdue accounts and bad debt provisions.
- Conducting financial analysis of key customers and presenting recommendations on credit terms.
- Maintaining strong relationships with banks, credit insurers and legal partners to enhance credit risk management.
Skills & Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (MBA or professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or ACCA preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Credit Control out of which 3 in Managerial Position, preferably in the UAE and Gulf region.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of Arabic will be considered and advantage.
- Expertise in financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and collections strategies.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and manage multiple reporting centres.
