Job Overview
The Presales Engineer is responsible for promoting Cisco solutions to Business Partners, preparing events and workshops, delivering trainings and demonstrations as well as driving incremental revenue and market share for the company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Helping and assisting partners in collaboration with Cisco, regarding certifications, technical meetings, sizing, architecture, RFP preparation.
- Advising customers on technical matters and recommending appropriate configurations.
- Constructing sales pitches and presentations and demonstrating product features.
- Helping customers maximizing the use of software features.
- Visiting end-users jointly with Cisco teams and Partners.
- Advising on appropriate partner training and enablement sessions for Partners.
- Working with Cisco Product Team on preparing and tailoring a prospect software presentation that precisely meets the needs of the prospect.
- Working with Cisco on demonstrations of the products that specifically address the prospects business problems.
- Completing the business analysis and technical component of a sales proposal.
- Participating in pricing the solution/service.
- Preparing quotations and proposals.
- Organizing internal trainings to update AMs and BDMs on the latest developments.
Skills & Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Three to five (3-5) years of related Presales or IT consulting experience, preferably in a multinational company.
- CCNP certificate is required.
- Experience working with customers, sales personnel and/or customer services.
- Experience in the related industry disciplines and technologies and related application experience.
- Experience resolving more complex technical issues and integration of multiple products to create solutions.
- Previous experience in relevant Cisco or competitive solutions will be considered an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Capability of managing virtual teams, leading and management of technical teams of business partners.
- Sales expertise in articulating technology solutions and establishing credibility and “trusted advisor” status with customer's technical decision-makers and business stakeholders.
- Results oriented.
- Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills (Romanian and English).
- Ability to build strong trusting relationships with customers and partners.
- Ability to travel within the territory managed by our country office.
