Job Overview
The Deputy General Manager will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of our operations within the region. This includes managing sales, marketing and operation functions to ensure the achievement of business objectives and profitability targets. The DGM will play a pivotal role in driving growth, expanding market share, and enhancing the company's brand presence in the region.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Overseeing the implementation of corporate business strategies in the operation.
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve sales targets, market expansion, and profitability goals in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
- Assisting the General Manager with the overall responsibility for the operational functioning of the company.
- Assisting in delivering of the Company’s P&L budget.
- Assisting with the budgeting process, monitoring financial performance, and implementing cost-control measures to ensure profitability and financial sustainability.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, partners, suppliers, and government agencies, to foster productive relationships and achieve business objectives.
- Conducting market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Utilizing insights to formulate effective sales and marketing strategies.
- Managing the Company’s reputation in the market and promoting the name of Logicom as a leader in the ICT industry in the region.
- Taking proactive steps to strengthen the company’s market share.
- Ensuring the continued performance of the company by inspiring and motivating staff.
- Participating in deploying and administering local company policies and assisting in coordinating all divisional department activities.
- Ensuring Logicom’s Compliance and Governance policies as well as those of Logicom’s Vendors are always adhered to.
- Assisting in day-to-day operations, including inventory management, logistics, and order fulfilment, to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products and services to customers. Assisting in maintaining a healthy DSO and WoS.
- Assisting in coordinating the activities both with internal (sales, product and marketing Teams) and external (customers and vendors) stakeholders to design and implement effective and sophisticated marketing and sales strategies and plans to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Working closely with the marketing Team to develop and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and branding initiatives to increase brand visibility and drive customer acquisition.
Skills & Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a dedicated and driven individual with a proven track record in corporate/ business leadership and achievement in the relevant market/ geography, and is expected to meet the following requirements:
- Over 8 years’ experience in the ICT industry.
- Over 5 years’ experience in managerial and leadership positions and preferably in the IT distribution industry.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth, manage budgets, and achieve financial targets.
- Degree in IT, Business, Management, Finance or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or other post-secondary degrees will be a plus.
- Experience in handling P&L statement.
- Broad understanding of Technology products and solutions, and Technology solutions delivery.
- Strong understanding of the IT market landscape, trends and technologies.
- Capacity to operate in a fast paced, complex, and challenging business environment.
- Experience and track record in managing Teams and Individuals.
- Robust knowledge and understanding of Compliance and Corporate governance.
- Strong and clear ability to build, present and execute on strategic business planning, both with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to successfully identify and resolve challenges and problems.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant business software applications.
- Fluency in both written and spoken Italian and English. Knowledge of any other language will be considered an advantage.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Remuneration
A remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate in line with the Company’s compensation scheme and based on the qualifications and experience.
