Job Overview

Cloud computing provides scalable and flexible IT resources over the internet, enabling businesses to efficiently manage data and applications. As a foundational technology in modern IT infrastructures, cloud services Vendors, offer platforms ranging from infrastructure (IaaS) and development platforms (PaaS) to complete software solutions (SaaS).

Logicom is the official distributor for Microsoft Azure and AWS across several regions, including Cyprus and Malta.

The Cloud Solutions Architect is critical in helping resellers in designing, implementing, and managing these cloud systems to drive organizational success. responsible for matching Cloud technology opportunities with a reseller’s business issues and objectives, assisting channel partners in designing solutions, as well as channel partner training & enablement.

Takes advantage of learnings and experience and uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Building technical relationships with resellers of all sizes and operating as their trusted advisor.
• Managing the overall technical relationship with resellers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Addressing reseller needs with the appropriate solutions on Cloud technology and each partner’s capabilities, for a variety of use cases.
• Sharing best practices, technical content (e.g., whitepapers, code samples, blog posts) and educating on Cloud through workshops, webinars, or by presenting in conferences.
• Hands-on learning on how to use the Microsoft Azure and AWS consoles and services and showcasing best practises and proper usage to resellers.
• Leading the design and implementation framework of Cloud Solutions that Logicom shall utilize.
• This role will require physical presence in either Cyprus or Malta.

Skills & Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Background in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps.
• Technical Degree in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent and/ or relevant tech experience.
• Working knowledge of cloud native architectures.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Greek or Maltese will be considered an advantage.
• A passion for technology and for learning.

Preferred Qualifications (will be considered an advantage)

• AWS certification (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional).
• Microsoft Azure certification (e.g. Azure Administrator or Azure Developer).
• Other Hyperscaler equivalent certification.
• Experience working in a reseller-facing role or a role which required presenting in front of resellers.
• Experience in design or configuration of on-premises Datacentre solutions such as Servers and Storage solutions.
• Knowledge of a modern programming language (Python, Java, Go, .Net etc.) and/or scripting, Infrastructure as Code etc.
• Experience designing, building, refactoring, or operating large scale and impactful IT systems - on premises or in the cloud.
