Job Overview
As a Sales Engineer for Security Products and Services, you will bridge the gap between technical expertise and sales execution. You will work closely with the Sales Team to understand client needs, providing tailored solutions that align with the company’s cybersecurity products and services.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Understanding our product/ service’s technical features, functionalities and benefits.
- Following the Vendor’s and the company procedures to deliver pricing to the customers.
- Conducting product demonstrations to showcase key features and functionalities and address technical questions and concerns from customers.
- Providing pre-sales support by answering technical inquiries and participating in sales meetings.
- Developing and delivering product training sessions to customers, partners and in-house.
- Providing post-sales support to customers, including technical troubleshooting and customer training, ensuring their satisfaction with the product or service.
- Giving active feedback and insights from the market to the product and marketing Team.
- Participating in sales meetings, trade shows and industry events to promote our products or services.
- Staying updated on industry trends, market dynamics and competitor offerings.
- Undertaking Cisco and other Vendor certifications required to maintain and improve company’s accreditations.
Skills & Qualifications
- University degree in engineering, computer science or a related field.
- Around 3 years of experience as a sales network/ security engineer or in a similar technical sales role.
- Knowledge of Cisco and/or other Security Vendor products and technologies.
- Security Vendor Certifications and especially Cisco Certifications will be considered an advantage.
- Strong technical background and ability to understand complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrable experience in presenting technical products and services to customers, providing expert advice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish strong relationships with customers and internal Teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and propose solutions.
- Self-motivated and target-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a Team.
